"woofing" | verb

What exactly does she mean by 'woofing' you might be asking yourself. I figured it would take a little explaining - so let me clarify for those of you who don't think I'm very punny. 

The term "woofing" is a verb play off the WWOOF organization. Familiar with it? In a nutshell- the verb describes when a young person throws caution to the wind, rejects their material possessions and travels the world working on organic farms for the World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms organization (also known as WWOOFers). These ‘woofers’ help on the land and home in exchange for food and accommodations provided by the host.

More literally in my case- working in exchange for wine (or enough euros to enjoy it regularly).  Silly not to, as Italy is  neck in neck with France to be the largest wine producer in the world. I decided ‘woofing’ was more appropriate given where I was living (not an organic farm) and what I was woofing down in my new home (carbs/wine). 

“Have you heard from Mallory lately?”

“No, I heard she was woofing on a Costa Rican Pineapple plantation.”

“Wrong! She is woofing around Italy!”
